Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 2026 · Effective: July 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use and protect your personal and business data when you take part in The Missed Client Assessment or our pilot programme. We are committed to protecting your privacy and complying with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR), the EU GDPR, and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR).
1. Who we are (the data controller)
For the purposes of data protection legislation, the data controller is the operator of the study and pilot programme:
- Entity / project: SessionCover
- Contact email: hello@sessioncover.com
- Location: Republic of Ireland / United Kingdom
2. What data we collect
When you complete the assessment, we collect:
- Identity data: your first name.
- Contact data: email address.
- Business data: your answers about call handling, enquiry volumes and typical fees.
- Technical data: time and date of your submission, to record your consent.
We never request, collect or store any clinical information, client information, or other special-category data.
3. How and why we use your data
We only use your data where we have a lawful basis. Our lawful basis is consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), and the form asks for it in two separate parts:
- The required consent covers calculating your result, emailing it to you, and including your anonymised answers in the study's aggregate findings.
- The optional consent covers contacting you about the free pilot programme. If you leave it unticked, we will not contact you about the pilot.
- If you complete the assessment before 20 July 2026, we also use your email address to administer the prize draw (entry into the draw, and contacting you if you win).
We do not use your data for automated decision-making that produces legal effects, and we will never sell your data to third-party marketers.
4. How we store and protect your data
Your data is securely transmitted and stored using trusted third-party service providers (such as Google Workspace / Google Sheets), which comply with strict international security standards. Access is restricted solely to the project operators for the purpose of running the study and pilot programme.
5. Data retention
We retain your information for 12 months after your submission, or until you withdraw your consent, whichever comes first. After this period, your data is securely deleted.
6. Your data protection rights
Under the UK and EU GDPR you have the following rights (applicable equally if you are a sole trader):
- The right to be informed — to know what we do with your data.
- The right of access — to request a copy of the data we hold about you.
- The right to rectification — to have inaccurate data corrected.
- The right to erasure — to have your data deleted entirely from our systems.
- The right to withdraw consent — at any time, for either or both consents.
To exercise any of these rights, email hello@sessioncover.com. We will process your request within 30 days.
7. Third-party links
Our website may link to third-party tools (such as calendar scheduling services). Those websites have their own privacy policies, and we do not accept responsibility or liability for them.
